Pink Pancake Breakfast FundraiserCoquitlam Firefighters are proud to support The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation of BC/Yukon in their vision to create a future without breast cancer! We do this each year at our annual Pink Pancake Breakfast, serving up piping hot pink pancakes inside our fire hall alongside our very own pink fire truck! Thanks to our community partner, Scotiabank, all funds raised are matched for a double serving of support for breast cancer research, education and various support programs.
This year's Pink Pancake Breakfast has been put on hold. Due to the lack of sponsorship, we were unable to secure a food supplier. We will regroup and try and make this work for next year. We are sorry to disappoint as this is a favorite event of ours as we are sure it is yours as well. "All proceeds go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation" |
Bright Night Stanley ParkEvery Year firefighters from across the lower mainland rally together to erect the very successful Bright Nights in Stanley Park. During the month of November lights are strung up and displays are prepared for guests' arrival in December. Throughout December and into January you will see our Firefighters handing out candy canes and warm smiles on those cold nights.
After Bright Nights closes its doors to the public in the first week of January, the task of removing and packaging the lights and displays begins, they are put into storage until next November.

BC Professional Firefighters Burn FundThe Coquitlam Firefighters Charitable Society has contributed funds to the BCPFF Burn Fund for many years.
In addition to contributing funds, our members have spent many hours volunteering their time off duty to Burn Fund fundraisers and the Burn Fund Camp In 2014, the Firefighters of Local 1782 committed $25,000 from their own payroll deductions, to the construction of the BCPFF Burn Fund Building. The building is for the use of patients and their families of VGH and BC Children’s Hospital, equipped with 8 furnished suites, library and family kitchen. |
BACKPACK PROGRAMThe CFFCS ran this campaign in 2017 and 2018 to help address the need for vulnerable students to receive school supplies and healthy snacks that would kickstart their school year in a positive direction.
We were proud to offer this program thanks to our generous sponsor Noura Homes. |
