Our History
The CFFCS became a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency and can issue official tax receipts for donations. Prior to becoming a Charitable Society, the firefighter's had a Benevolent Committee that ran all the volunteer community support programs and fundraisers.
The Firefighter's of Coquitlam have been involved in fundraising for local, provincial and national charities for many years. Since 1954, the fundraising partnership between firefighters and Muscular Dystrophy makes it the longest running charity partnership.
